This is where I get my client to outline a brief on what they are wanting to achieve from their new landscape project and then I use my 35 years of plant / nursery industry knowledge to help them to achieve the result that they are after.
I visit my clients site / property and they describe what sort of garden / planting they are wanting to achieve. This may be one of a dozen garden styles from tropical, formal, New Zealand Native, exotic plus many more. Sometimes it's a complete makeover; you're starting off from scratch on a brand new site. I have full confidence that I can help my clients to select the right plants for the property. I then make an appointment to return whereby then I will have plant samples selected for them to view and get the client involved with helping make the final selection. Once the final plants have been decided upon I then will give the client some options on grades / budgets of the plants so that they can determine the final price.
Plant Quoting
I indicate at the start to my prospective clients that I do not charge for consultancy and advice, but we expect that they will purchase the plants from me. My pricing is very competitive and very importantly, I have an outstanding plant knowledge and know what will perform and what is suitable for your particular landscape, so you will not end up wasting your money by putting in something that is not suitable. Part of my service is that I always place the plants in their final positions for my clients, because as I mention to them, one part of landscaping a garden is picking the right plants for the site, but just as importantly is the layout, so that it all looks right. My client can then plant the plants themselves or I can arrange for this to be done if required.
